On Feb 15th, 2023, Wang Jiangping, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT), hosted a symposium on the safe application of audio-visual products in Beijing.
Relevant comrades from the Ministry of Public Security, the General Administration of Market Supervision, the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Information and Communication Administration, and the Network Security Administration, as well as enterprise representatives from the National Industry and Information Security Center and the China Association of Electronic Audio Industry (CAIA) attended the symposium. As the vice president of CAIA, GIEC was invited to participate in the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that the audio-visual industry is an important part of the electronic information manufacturing industry, and its healthy development is of great significance for stabilizing the overall scale of the electronic information manufacturing industry. After years of development, China has become an important manufacturing base of audio-visual products in the world, and audio-visual technology and products have been widely integrated into people's production and life.For the safety protection and safety application of audio-visual products,all relevant departments and industry associations have carried out a series of governance work and achieved positive results, which are promoted through the establishment of a linkage mechanism and coordinated deployment.
At the same time, the meeting also stressed that to do a good job of safety risk prevention and safety application of audio-visual products, we should adhere to the overall national security concept, deeply grasp the characteristics of the development oftheaudio-visual industry, adhere to the equal importance of development and safety, support the combination of innovative practice and compliance management, and promote the high-quality development oftheaudio-visual industry. All parties in the industry should make joint efforts to maintain industrial order, social stability and national interests, improve the safety risk prevention and safety application level of audio-visual products, continue to purify the industrial development environment, and serve the overall situation of national economic construction with high-quality industrial development.
